Dr. Konky Sotomayor followed the footsteps of his father who was also a research scientist in South America in the earlies 40s. The later found himself in an environment with serious issues in Public and Animal Health and isolated from the technological resources of the rest of the World due to the Second World War hence had to develop tailored immunization programs and Public Health procedures covering clinical diagnosis, sample collection, biological hazard measurements, vaccine and serum manufacturing, and safety procedures and health regulations. Dr. Konky Sotomayor spent his childhood and adolescent years observing how to determine the etiology of infectious diseases, how to clinically diagnose them, and how to cure and control them. Between 1945 and 1970 Dr. Sotomayor Sr. found and eradicated more than 70 infectious diseases in his environment, many of them transmissible to humans.

With his father as a role model and a science school in life as background, Konky Sotomayor attended the Veterinary Medicine Faculty in the State University of Guayaquil from 1975 to 1981, where he graduated as a Doctor in Veterinary Medicine and Zootechny. There he was granted the Accesit Contenta Award for outstanding grades and the Guayaquil University Award for best Doctoral Thesis in 1981. Soon after his graduation Dr. Sotomayor became a Professor in charge of the Large Animals Infectious Diseases and Laboratory Diagnostics subjects in the same Guayaquil State University; at the age of 25 he was the youngest professor in that University for 5 years until he stopped teaching to dedicate his efforts to private practice. He has several postgraduate studies in Physiopathology of Bovine Reproduction, Scientific Research Methodology, and Technical Administration of Artificial Insemination Programs from the Lantanisbruk Uppsala Universitet, Sweden. Dr. Sotomayor is also a NAET - Allergy Elimination Program Course Advanced Graduate since 2000.

Dr. Sotomayor has worked in several different laboratory-managing positions since 1979 and is responsible for the diagnosis for the first time in Ecuador of Q Fever, a professional disease, and the proper report to the World Health Organization (WHO). Dr. Sotomayor is the President of Sotomayor Consulting, Inc. and owns the rights to several biological innovative products developed for human and animal health, which he created. Dr. Sotomayor is an experienced and renowned research scientist in the field of biological formulations and has experience in the design of specialized equipment and various devices used in the homeopathic, cosmetic and alternative health industries. He developed a proprietary method to apply homeopathic principles to naturopathic components in order to obtain combined benefits as reduced time and stable response supporting health recovery. Dr. Sotomayor created dozens of proprietary formulations under this concept also designing the laboratory equipment used to develop such products.

Today Dr. Konky Sotomayor is a research scientist dedicated to the creation and development of alternative health and nutritional products.
